The script for Vengeance Valley was written by Irving Ravetch and based on the novel by Luke Short. The film starred Burt Lancaster, Robert Walker, Joanne Dru, Sally Forrest, John Ireland and Hugh O'Brian. It was directed by Richard Thorpe with George J. Folsey in charge of photography and Rudolph Kopp, music. In the film, a rancher's foster son is forced on the run after he is blamed for the pregnancy of a local waitress.
